Hello,
Any ideas how to translate the job title 'chargée de communication' into english? What about 'communications representative' or 'communications assistant'? Any ideas welcome, thankyou |

Re: chargée de communication
I wonder if it could be PR - Public Relations
If so could be PR officer or something along those lines... |

Re: chargée de communication
Hi Ali-kiwi,
I've always had difficulty translating that one! The problem is that there are so many variations of what a Chargée de Communicationn actually is and does. I should know, I've been one several times! What level are we talking here? Could you say Director or Communications or Communications Manager? I was certainly a Communications Assistant in some roles. Is it internal communication, or PR as boterham suggested? Or both? |

Re: chargée de communication
It is a role that involves internal and external communication for a company, so not just PR, but thankyou for the suggestion. I have just seen there are other threads for chargé do comm (the male version!!) that have some good suggestions. Since it is a fairly junior role i think 'communications officer' is not too bad....
