    they'll lose a hand

    Hi, guys,

Does anybody know de possible translation of the sentence above in the next context:

(it's a poem by Deborah Digges, "Guillotine windows")

Ring the house that wants it to be winter,
a house for wintering, warn the spirits they'll lose a hand,
a tail sailing in and out of the bell tower

Perderán la mano?, don't have really right sense in spanish.

    Thanks all you, comps.

I think it means they might lose a hand or a tail (to the guillotine of the window).
