    Facilitator

    Hi

I'm trying to translate the term facilitator, as in someone who facilitates a workshop - they organise, coordinate, and then facilitate the workshop. They may not be technical experts in the field but are ablet o help people come together to learn and develop skills.

Suggestions have included фасилитатор, посредник but some have said that фасилитатор is too anglicised and not everyone understands the word?

    Any comments gratefully received!

    Thanks

    Sarah

    Re: Facilitator: фасилитатор, посредник?

Фасилитатор is very rare and specific word, посредник is absolutely unreliable.
    I'd suggest куратор.

В контексте (организация и проведение семинара) это может быть устроитель (либо организатор и устроитель)

    Re: Facilitator

when I was studying we often had a facilitator working together with a main teacher. She/he was like a helper or an assistant.

Помощник преподоватиля, ассистент преподавателя. Usually it's named лаборант, in the most part of technical universities.

    I would suggest "методист"

    Re: Facilitator

Disagree. Mетодист to me is someone who develops content; facilitator is someone who conducts a session/event.

    Re: Facilitator

Maybe you are right, "методист" is not the best alternative. What about Координатор?
The asker has specified: "... they organise, coordinate, and then facilitate the workshop."

I indicated my preference above in post #9.
