Pitch (soprano pitch / alto pitch)

Looking at the list of current singers for Chanticleer, I see countertenor, soprano pitch and countertenor, alto pitch.
Can a musically-inclined member enlighten me as to what they are? Thank you.

I believe it's short for "alto/soprano pitch range". "Countertenor, alto pitch (range)" is a man who sings in the alto range normally associated with a female voice.

Yes, a countertenor is a man who can sing very high parts, usually music written for a castrato.
The alto/soprano indicates that his voice matches a woman's alto or soprano range.
Please correct my Spanish (and my English!).
