    sentiero intagliato a mezza costa

    Ciao,

    Io l'ho tradotto:
    A digged-on-the-rock path...
    si capisce di cosa parlo?

    Thank you for helping

Perhaps "a track hewn out of the hillside".

sarebbe forse meglio 'hewn out of the rock face'.

    Hi!
How can I translate the expression "a mezza costa"?

Il percorso continua a mezza costa.

It's about a path in the wood, inside a tourist guide that I have to translate in english.

I thought: The route continues on a half shore way

    Thanks everybody!

I don't think so. The Garzanti IT/EN Dictionary (here) gives it as "halfway up the hill". The word costa here has nothing to do with its meaning of coast or shoreline.
