    loathed

    Olá!

Como traduzir "Some say the lark and the loathed toad change eyes"?

    Re: loathed

Por este contexto (Another example of a allusion is when Juliet said " Some say the lark and loathed toad change eyes;"(III.v.32). This allusion refers back in Shakespeare's time, the lark eyes were so to be ugly, the toad's eyes beautiful. So the lark and the toad were thought to have changed eyes), creio que seria isso mesmo, mas com loathed significando "detestado".
