    Slovenian: dressing (was Slovenian: začimbne)

    Hello everyone!

I need to translate "dressing based on lemon juice" into Slovenian: my try would be "začimbne iz limoninega soka". Could someone confirm that it is correct, please?

    Thanks!

    Re: Slovenian - začimbne

Začimbe (začimbne is its adjectival form) means "spices". I would use solatni preliv for "salad dressing". It's not the only possible translation, but it's widely used and understood. The second part -- iz limoninega soka -- is fine. If you need a more literal translation, na osnovi limoninega soka (osnova = base) would also work gramatically, but it's somewhat more cumbersome.
