Syrian Arabic: طلابيات خرابيات
I'm translating an interview that was made in Syrian Arabic. There is a man talking about a boy whose mother got killed. The man says about the mother:
كيف عرفناها؟ شفناها من طُلابيات، من خرابيات
The rest is not a problem, but I haven't figured out these two words. When saying them, the interviewee makes a gesture with his hand that makes it look like he is describing a rectangular hole through which one can take a look. I gather the woman was at the time in prison or something. But still, I can't find any confirmation as to whether the words mean some sort of a peep-hole or something. I think I hear them pretty clearly.
Does anyone get an idea what these words could be?
