brumisation

Hello,
I'm a little stuck here with this word : "brumisation" (in French)
I'm translating documents related to fire prevention studies and this is a new technique they use to create a water cloud, a sort of mist to protect areas.
I originally translated this by : "spraying" but I don't really feel it's right.
Does the word"brumisation" exist in ENglish?
Thank you all!!

brumisation

While this translation does not ring very true to me, I looked into some fire prevention stuff and the word they are using for this technique is "fogging" and the actual machine brumiseur is called a "fogger". Hope this helps.
