I'm translating an article about exhibitions that are on at the moment.
This one is called "Italia s'è desta 1945-1953", it's an art exhibition in Ravenna on post-war art.
I have 2 questions:
1) I think I should leave the title in Italian, rather than translate it. What do you think?
2) If I did want to translate this phrase, what would it be in English?
I saw in the dictionary that "destarsi" means to wake up - so Italy has woken up?? But then, why is the verb "desta" and not "destato"???
