    Hello,
do you know the english equivalent of this saying :

A vaincre sans péril, on triomphe sans gloire

    Is it :

If one beats without difficult, one triumphs without glory ?

THank you for your help :)

Hi Marcolo, I'm not sure if we have an equivalent saying (does anyone know?), but I would try to translate your original as: 'To win without risk is to triumph without glory'

We triumph without glory when we conquer without danger.
[Fr., A vaincre sans peril on triomphe sans gloire.]
    - Pierre Corneille, Le Cid (II, 2)

    Source.

"Triumph without peril brings no glory" is the way it is usually translated as far as I know.

It may be a bit late but a colloquial way of saying it would be "No guts, no glory"
