    Hello everyone,

I found this sentence on a food label, and I cannot understand what "ΣΟΣ" means:

ΑΝAΛΩΣΗ ΚΑΤA ΠΡΟΤIΜΗΣΗ ΣΟΣ ΤΗΝ ΗΜΕΡΟΜΗΝΙΑ ΠΟΥ ΑΝΑΓΡΑΦΕΤΑΙ ΣΤΗ ΣΥΣΚΕΥΑΣΙΑ
(Best before: see date on the packaging)

Does anyone know what it stands for? Maybe it's a short form of something meaning something like "see (on package)"?

    Many thanks in advance
    :) alice

If it's not about a mistake, I can only assume it's "SOS" transliterated in Greek letters to draw consumers' attention.

Probably a typo for "ΩΣ" ή "ΕΩΣ"

    Thank you everyone.

Perseas and velisarius, do you think "ΑΝAΛΩΣΗ ΚΑΤA ΠΡΟΤIΜΗΣΗ ΩΣ ΤΗΝ ΗΜΕΡΟΜΗΝΙΑ ΠΟΥ ΑΝΑΓΡΑΦΕΤΑΙ ΣΤΗ ΣΥΣΚΕΥΑΣΙΑ" makes sense?

    Many thanks :)

Si, perfettamente. Infatti è scritto esattamente così su molti prodotti che hanno una data di scadenza (tipo bottiglie d'acqua di plastica etc)
