I wrote a paragraph about my sister on Lang-8. The person who corrected the sentence below suggested I replace Πηγαίνει with Συχνάζει.

Πηγαίνει συχνά έξω στα μπαρ και στα κλαμπ με τις φίλες της και περνάει καλά.
Συχνάζει συχνά έξω στα μπαρ και στα κλαμπ με τις φίλες της και περνάει καλά.

My question is do I still need the words συχνά έξω στα if I now use Συχνάζει? They seem superfluous to me but maybe I'm wrong?

    Thanks

The sense of "συχνά" is contained in "συχνάζει", so its presence is not only superfluous but wrong.
"έξω" is not necessary in both sentences but it's not wrong to use it.
I don't see any problem with "Πηγαίνει συχνά (έξω) στα μπαρ.." , "συχνάζει" is however more specific.
"Συχνάζω σε μπαρ/καφενεία/καφετέριες/κλαμπ" is a very common expression.

If, in your original sentence, you intended Πηγαίνει συχνά έξω στα μπαρ to mean "she often goes out", you were being somewhat unidiomatic.
Πηγαίνω έξω is normally used in reference to physically leaving the room, going outside.
For 'going out' (to take a walk, to go shopping etc.) the usual verb is βγαίνω, possibly accompanied by a pleonastic έξω.
    - Είναι εκεί η Ελένη; - Όχι, έχει βγει έξω. Βγήκε για λίγο, θα γυρίσει όπου να 'ναι (=she 'll be back any moment now)

"Πηγαίνει συχνά σε μπαρ και κλαμπ" (without the word έξω) would be perfectly correct.
