    Hi,

I was watching an interview the other day. The host stated something that the one being interviewed had done and he answered:
Ναι, το ξέρω. Και αυτό επίτηδες το έκανα, μη νομίζεις.

At first I interpreted it as "don't you think?" but realised that it wouldn't be using "μη" in that case, since it is imperative. So do you have a better translation of this expression in this context?

Yes, I know. And I did it on purpose, believe me or don't think I didn't it on purpose.

In general, the phrase suggests ''Don't think otherwise, in a different manner''
Usually functions as a verification for the precedent part of a speech.
    I did that - don't think otherwise.
