    יליד = born in, native of, so he is a conductor, born in Poland.

    Airelibre is right about יליד. But מנצח is a conductor (of an orchestra) while the word for composer is מלחין.
    So the Wikipedia article is about a conductor who was born in Poland.

    Sorry, I knew that, I just tripped up since the English words both start with com/n. I'll edit it.
