Can anyone help me with this apparently slangish term that's new to me?

Is it anything like "avdu aleinu"

I've come across "Ooops, alu aleinu'

Is it like "They fooled us" or "they pulled one over on us"?

No, it's like they caught us trying to fool them. :)
