افتقار,التقويم

    Hello.How do you say this in English:
    واذا تبين من هذا التقويم افتقار تلميذ أو مجموعة من التلاميذ لمهارة
    Can I say like this: And if it turns out this reform(or improvement) make pupil or group of pupils lack of skill?
    I don't know the the usage of 'l' before لمهارة .And I have no idea of the word التقويم,it's "calender or schedule or improvement,or curriculum" when we talk of education reform.

    تقويم can mean an evaluation or assessment.
    ل and إلى are the prepositions that can accompany افتقر.

    Thus:
    If it becomes clear, from this evaluation, that a student or group of students lack a skill, then ...

    Phrased a bit more natively;
    If this evaluation shows that a student or group of students lack a skill, then ...
