    Please help me.

What is the appropriate translation of الكتاب في سطور, a phrase written on the back cover of a book. it consists of two paragraphs which are a brief outline of the book.
    Thanks in advance.

    I would suggest "summary".

It's not necessarily a biography. It is a summary about the book itself.

    Can "synopsis" work?

    Perhaps "blurb"?

Even though "blurb" is a good descriptive term, it's very informal. A "blurb" would never be titled "Blurb". "Summary" or "Synopis" are acceptable.

    what about: "in a nutshell"?

The OP asked for an "appropriate translation" of a "phrase written on the back cover of a book". I can't recall ever seeing "in a nutshell" introducing a summary of a book's contents on its back cover. It is very informal and, given the context, probably inappropriate. In other contexts, "in a nutshell" would be fine....

It has nothing to do with the author.

Maybe: A brief description of the book.
