تبلور - crystallisation?

    In this sentence:
    [FONT=&quot]تركيبة اجتماعية اقتصادية مشوهة متأثرة بمدى تبلور الطبقات داخل هذا المجتمع او ذاك.[/FONT]
    surely it can't mean crystallisation? Thanks.

    I have come across تبلور in a few contexts. The first is literal - as in the salt يتبلور, becomes solid. The other context is more abstract, and fits in this example. For me, تبلور here is more like solidification, or perhaps entrenchment.
