What's the etymology of this word? Is it from a quadrilateral root?
Is it MSA or colloquial?
Without context it's quite difficult to tell. خَبطة is 'blow, coup' and is an اسم مرة from خبَط 'beat, strike'. There's also another word لخبطة 'confusion' which is a quadriliteral ma6dar.
Separate names with a comma.
