Hi everyone, this is frequency. I have a question to you all today!

We have a common Japanese word 新規購入. This is a combination of 新規+購入. Whichever this is service or a product, customers buy it, and the office I'm working at can gain sale and profit. The point is that the customers are those who purchase our service or product for the first time. What do you say? First purchase? Or else? Let me hear from you!

Just to confirm, by 新規購入 you mean that it is the customer's first time to purchase the service/product, and NOT that this specific customer is the first customer (of all customers) to purchase the service/product? If this is the case, I would call the customer a "first-time buyer" and their purchase a "first-time purchase".

I often purchase sharewares from foreign developers, and indeed I've seen advertisements like "First-time customers get 10% off!" a lot.
