I have a question about a very small structural issue here. Looking at this sentence "네가 또 다른 이지현이가 안되길 바랬던거야" 이지현 happens to be a name of a person. What is this 이가 doing between the name and 안되다 ? normally 가 serves the function of subject marker. What about 이 here after the name and before 가? Is this the same 이 that we use to point to person or thing that are close to the speaker? Typically 가 as a subject marker follows a noun. Is 이 a noun? It really confuses me. It is probably something new to me.
