    Hello, everyone here,

A term "a la carte" means with a separate price for each item on the menu. Dose it common to hear or use in a restaurant when a waiter taking an order for you? Are there any other synonyms and antonym words associated with "a la carte"?

    Thanks :)

I'd say it is uncommon for a waiter to say a la carte because the vast majority of restaurants are served in this way, so things which aren't are the exception here. I am not aware of any synonyms, but two antonyms are prix fixe and table d'hôte.
