    Good morning everybody! I'm preparing an oral exposition and I have a doubt about how to say "Lengua Extranjera, a la que me referiré de ahora en adelante como LE" It could be "Foreign Language, which I'll be referred to hence as FL" ?¿?¿
    I'm not sure how to say it in a right way, could somebody help me?
    Thank you in advance

    PS: Correct my English if it is necessary.

    Both are formal, but perhaps mine is even more formal, since it uses a passive and avoids the "I".
    Less formal:
    ... Foreign Language, which from now on I'll be calling "FL".

    Slip quizá sea lo que mejor va aquí:

    Concise Oxford Spanish Dictionary © 2005 Oxford University Press:
    despiste sustantivo masculino
    1. (distracción) absentmindedness;
      fue un ~ it was a lapse of concentration;
      en un momento de ~ le robaron la maleta he took his eye off his suitcase for a moment and someone stole it;
      ¡qué ~ tengo hoy! I can't seem to concentrate today!

    1. (equivocación) slip, mistake

    Hardly major. It's a mistake made millions of times each day by natives, many of whom do not even realise it is a mistake.
