    to take to someone

    For example how can we convey the idea of a feeling of affection like in this sentence:
    "Si è molto affezionato a me da quando ha perso il padre"

    He (17-year-old boy) has really grown fond of me since he lost his father

    Hi rafanadal,

    "He has grown really/very fond of me ..." would be fine, although in the case of a 17 year-old male for (I presume) another older male, a father-figure, one might also speak of 'attachment'.

    "He's become really/very attached to me since..."
