Please I need to check if that type of allergy is the same as 'hay fever'.
Thanks a lot
Not exactly. Hay fever, although also a kind of allergic rhinitis, is caused mostly by pollen from grasses. The olive is a tree. So I think that your term is broader than just hay fever, including both grass pollen and the olive tree pollen. I've seen "olive pollen allergies," but a general term would be "pollen allergies."
Just an opinion…
I agree with "pollen allergies" but believe that "hay fever"is a lay term is used loosely to indicate all respiratory symptoms from inhaled environmental allergens. Are you translating for the profession or for the general public?
