    Olá a todos,
Como posso traduzir "Amigo da Onça" é uma expressão bastante usada no Brasil para se referir a uma pessoa que se diz seu amigo quando na realidade não o é.
    Existe algo parecido no inglês.

    Tks.

I have never heard pallligator, nor would I understand it if someone said it to me. I would just say "false friend" or maybe, "two-faced" as an adjective to describe someone like that.

I agree these are the best expressions, I too had never heard of palligator but I found it here http://www.slangsite.com/slang/P.html .I would say it is not widely known though.

    Hello,

Ironically in a phrase you can say:

 ‘Mas que amigo da onça!’:
-- ‘You are a fine friend!’ / ‘What a fine friend you are!’
    -- ‘What a false friend!’

Here some more translation suggestions, even though I couldn't come up with an idiomatic equivalent, or anything quite as graphic as amigo-da-onça:
deceitful, deceptive, double-dealing, hypocrite, insincere, phony, unfaithful, untrue, untruthful, etc.
