    Do I need a comma before 'and' in the following sentence? Why or why not?

    If any of my readers are interested in the unreleased entry, then they can drop a comment and I will happily send it to them via e-mail.

    No comma should be inserted before "and".

    This "and" is almost a "so that". The last clause is not independent. No comma.

    You should not use comma before “and” in the following sentence ‘why or why not’,
