Are we allowed to bump up threads when they are at the back pages and have no answer?
Rule II.8, part (b), on this page reads as follows:
Lord, generally most mods bump them when they see nobody has replied yet after some time, I use to do that. Anyway, you have to consider it is vacation time, many foreros are travelling or still partying and less people are present on the forums, also it may occur that nobody who has read the thread has a good/ proper answer yet so you have to allow people some time to look for a good reply. Just wait a little after doing what Egmont has pointed out above.
This may vary by Forum, because some Forums (English Only, Spanish and French Forums) are very active and most threads receive a reply within hours if not minutes. Other less-active forums may have an unanswered thread on the top page for a longer time.
Our rule of thumb in the French forums is to ask members to be patient for 24 hours before asking for a bump. However, in my experience it is rarely needed.
