attend to customers

    Hi, everybody.

    Is the answer to the next question correct?

    What does a salesclerk do?
    A salesclerk attends to customers.

    (The use of attend to is what makes me wonder.

    Yes, it's fine. Waits on customers can also be used.

    Correct, but rather formal. We usually use "help" in this context. "Wait on" (as suggested by ab1025) is also correct, but is more common in the context of what a waiter does.
