    Hi,

I'm a bit confused how to say better, maybe there is an expresion I miss.

    The context:
Ma grand-mère était plus pragmatique, avec sa force de caractère.

    My attempts:
She was more pragmatic and /self-confident/of a strong character/?.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cleare,

    You could say something like:
"My grandmother was more pragmatic with a strong (or forceful) personality"- but character can work well in this case too - it depends how poetic or literary you want to be
