I was wondering how I can translate the sentence:

    thank you very much

    io modificherei l'ordine della frase...

"the promoting of reconstruction works of formerly destroyed monuments is his merit"

    Io direi:

He had the merit of promoting the reconstruction of destroyed monuments.

    Hi Everybody,
I'm writing the acknowledgements for my thesis and I'd like to write a sentence sounding like this:

    which I'm translating as follows:

I want to thank Pinco Pallino for mentoring me throughout the thesis, which results he deserves most of the merit for.

Is that correct? Any better ideas guys?

    Thank you in advance.

"I don't have special credits! This type of things are part of my job; anyway, I’m happy to know that everything has been Ok."

    Qualche suggerimento?
    Grazie in anticipo :)

Please I don't deserve any special praise. These things are part of my job/ This is just part of my job but I'm glad to know that everything went well/is ok.

    Hello all,

I have a slightly twisted sentence here:

    My attempt: "
In this case/instance it is for the magazine Positif to claim the credit for having been the first to draw theattention on this industry production that the “authorial”critics, both in France and in Italy, had neglected."

(I know, 'authorial' doesn't work. Still trying to figure that one out..any help is very much appreciated!)

Not sure what industry production might be, but one suggestion could be.
In this case it is the magazine P... that can take credit for having been the first to draw attention to this industry production that critics in-the-know, both in France and Italy, had overlooked.

Thanks rrose17, overlooked works better than neglected.
The 'produzione industriale' he refers to is actually 'commercial films'. The essay is talking about a reevaluation of 'commercial films' initiated by Positif magazine.
The 'critica autoriale' would be something like the 'art-cinema critics', somewhat in contrast to the more commercial productions.

In that case would mainstream production work? And art-house critics?
