bloodless field, bloodless operative field

I encountered this phrase in a general surgery setting, "bloodless field." I have found a phrase in the wiki to give some context. Could a person familiar with medical terms please translate this into Spanish?

Surgical tourniquets enable surgeons to work in a bloodless operative field by preventing blood flow to a limb.

    MUCH appreciated!

Hola.
    Saludos.
