Context: poetic text accaompanying photos of children's toys.

" Le mythe du train bleu et la boîte rouge "

I find a ballet and restaurant for the train bleu, but that still doesn't make sense. I'm an American, I'm obviously missing a cultural reference. A literal translation will not work here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Hi OLN, thanks so much for wanting to help.

I spoke with the writer, it was a poetic phrase, not any direct reference. I'm thinking to translate with something like
"The fantasy world of toy trains and colorful blocks."
    What do you think?

Le train bleu could be a specific toy train, but the only mythic Train bleu I heard of is the South African Blue Train. :)
Note that boîte is a box, not a block.

Since we don't have the full context, you may want to ask the author what (s)he means.

PS : isn't it "I'm thinking of or about translating" ?
