Does anyone know what "boney" means in relation to cement? I don't really have a context, only a description of a cement mixture as "a boney mix". Does it mean it's too watery, not thick enough?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems a bit unfair to ask us without providing a sample sentence or some description of the context from which this question arises.

On the other hand, you might avoid our requirement for context by searching the internet for cement "boney mix".

Yes, I tried that. The sentence is "Not a bad mix, a bit boney". That's all, there is no further explanation, nothing.

Among the citations on the linked Google search is this one:

    Aggregates
Too much fine aggregate gives a sticky mix.
Too much coarse aggregate gives a harsh or boney mix.
