Nem sei como é essa brincadeira "antiga" no Brasil...acho que menino nem brinca mais disso, talvez ainda no interior...

Primeiro: queria saber como é a brincadeira
Segundo: como é o nome dessa brincadeira em inglês?

    gracias

From the youtube vids I've watched, brincar de roda seems a cross between hand clapping games and square dancing.
In the States, I've never come across anything like Brincadeira de Roda A Serpente which is very cool.

Brincar de roda is (definition from the dictionary = to sing, skip and turn forming a circle
It is nursery rhyme that children sings in a circle like this.

V >> That illustration brings me back to my childhood school books in 1960.

Also, I found an old black and white home movie of me and my schoolmates. Youtube "Lost my partner. Children in a circle."
Please be warned: it gets spooky halfway through.

In English, we don't say usually say "nursery rhyme game." The expression would probably be "children's circle game".
Ring around a Rosie and Duck duck goose are very popular.

And there are "adult circle games" too.
I've heard of a word game where people in a big circle around the world ask questions in strange foreign tongues and other people answer them.

In our "roda" the children in the circle hold each other hands and walk around. In YT "Mulekada - 5 Cantigas de Roda" you'll see my 7th birthday party.
