    Hello,

In the cover page of my dissertation I have to write the date when I defended it. In British-English, should I write:

    Defended on 10th May 2008

    or

    Defended 10th May 2008

Thank you very much for your answer!

    Hi Val

It would be with 'on', as in your first example.

    Good luck / well done!
