I'm looking at restaurant menu. At the top of the menu it says "Buca Lapi"..what does this mean?...Is it just the name of the restaurant?

Yes, it's the name of the restaurant.
I think that in Florence (and maybe in the whole Tuscany) "buca" indicates a certain kind of restaurant and Lapi is a family name.

I confirm. Here in Florence there are some characteristic restaurants who are not on ground level, but in the basement of a building, especially around Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. As they are in a "pit" of the ground, they are called Buca and there are lots! Lapi is a common Florentine family name.
