    What's the best way to express 'business is slow'. My full sentence is:

    I hope business hasn't been too slow.

    J'espère que les affaires n'ont pas tourné trop au ralenti.

    I don't think my translation sounds great. Maybe it just due to the fact that 'affaires' sounds quite formal to express this particular business. Is there another way to express it, do you think, or does this sound fine?

    J'aurais dit pareil que vous.
    Je ne comprends pas votre "this particular business"... ?
    S'il vous faut un peu moins formel, vous pouvez penser à quelque chose comme J'espère que la boutique a bien tourné.
