Carta de compromiso

    Hola, Necesito traducir una carta de compromiso. Tengo problemas al traducir el título de la misma "Carta de compromiso" y la frase "Mediante la presente, comprometo mi participación" Cualquier ayuda es bienbenida. Muchas gracias.

    I would say "commitment letter" here in Chile is a very common term and literally it's a letter where you commit yourself to improve or reform a bad behavior etc. Or to do something in the future.

    thank you very much. This is meant to be a letter by which a professional "se compromete a participar" in a specific project, usually required to present the project for government funding. My attempt so far is: HEREBY I COMMIT MYSELF TO PARTICIPATE AS A (PROFESSION HERE)

    By the way, Letter of intent I think is very close to what I'm looking for, according to wikipedia, "A letter of intent or LOI is a document outlining an agreement between two or more parties before the agreement is finalized."

    I agree that letter of intent is correct, and I agree with the Wikepedia definition. This is a phrase we use in the USA.

    I learned it as "engagement letter", working for many years at a Big Four accounting firm. It's used to define the legal relationship between a professional firm (e.g., law, investment banking, consulting, advisory or accountancy firm) and its client(s).
     
  10. En España en en el INEM (Instituto Nacional del Empleo)o si es en Andalucìa, en el SAE (Servicio Andaluz del Empleo) existe una carta de compomiso la cual de obligan a firmar en el caso de concederte ayudas economicas.En èsta carta te comprometes a buscar empleo etc.
    Quizas èsto tambien sea de interes.

    Hola, en el contexto que lo pretendes utilizar que implica es el compromiso de una persona de no realizar o de realizar una conducta, la traducción apropiada y comercialmente usada es: "Commitment Letter".

    Lo anterior, por cuanto que "A letter of intent or LOI" que se menciona de Wikipedia, hace referencia es a la intención de celebrar un acuerdo, como un contrato o convenio, por ejemplo cuando intentas realizar un acuerdo sobre la compra o la fusión de una empresa, en ese caso el memorando de acuerdo que igualmente se le llama MOA, Memorandum of Agreement, también es conocido como LOI - Letter of Intention.
