    Hello,

I am looking for the French equivalent for carve-out.
    Context :
"A less draconian approach to fundamental activity separation involves recognition that some types of financial activities should not be allowed within multifunctional financial firms deemed to be systemic and having powerful public utility characteristics. Again, SIFIs will argue that such carve-outs limit synergies that are essential to their business models."

Would the word "limitations" cover the meaning ? Maybe "entailles" ?
    Thanks for any suggestions !

"limitations" ou "restrictions" pourraient convenir ici.
"entailles" ne serait sans doute pas très bien compris.
