    Good morning everyone.

When writing to a banker, if I want to say "I would like to invest "x" amount of money in a cd (certificate of deposit) would this be the right colloquial expression: "Σε παρακαλώ θα ήθελα να δεσμεύσουμε "x" ευρω σε προθεσμιακή κατάθεση."

    Does this sound natural?

    Thank you.

I think it would be better if you just said "Θα ήθελα να καταθέσουμε/επενδύσουμε/βάλουμε/τοποθετήσουμε "x" ευρώ σε προθεσμιακή κατάθεση" although "να δεσμεύσουμε" it's not wrong and the banker would understand what you want to say.
