    The dictionaries say that Cfr. should be translated 'Compare', but that's not something I've ever seen in an English footnote. Perhaps 'See' is a better translation? What do people think? Ie

    Cfr. dep. cit. p.xx trascriz.
    See statement p.xx transcription.
