    Is a clicky pencil a propelling pencil? (Lapiz mina - Chile).

    I was reading about pencils to draw manga and came across this.

    Creo que es otro nombre para "mechanical pencil", que en España se llama un "portaminas".

    It is called a clicky pencil, because you "click" the eraser side to make the graphite come out the other end. It is also called a mechanical pencil. I haven't heard "propelling pencil" used very often, but yes; it is also that.

    Acá también se les llama "portaminas", pero coloquialmente le llamamos "lapiz mina". Gracias.

    I think 'propelling pencil' is used in the UK.
