commandement de payer

    Hi folks, how would you say this in French please?

    "un seul commandement de payer" a single? payment demand ?

    It's ok I continued searching and I think these will do nicely:
    irrevocable order to pay, ordinance of payment, payment order, summons to pay

    I have never seen "commandement de payer" in some official document, maybe you mean "injonction de payer" ?

    You should avoid "payment order".

    If I'm not mistaken, 'Injonction de payer' is the procedure allowing a creditor to rapidly get a 'titre executoire' allowing him to approach a bailiff to physically deliver a 'commandement de payer' to the debtor inviting him to pay up.
