No estoy segura si use apropiadamente "consist of" en esta oracion:

"...and it consisted of that I was going to be a psychologist."

Tengo dudas en cuando usar consist of, in, on.
    Que opinan?

A lo mejor "and it consisted of the fact that I was going..." -- pero el contexto no está muy claro.

I need more context before I can correct the sentence. Is this something an English speaker said, or is it your attempt at translating a Spanish phrase into English?

Espero que esto ayude un poco mas:

"As a normal teenager who is finishing highschool, I had my future planned for the university. And it consisted of that I was going to be a psychologist."

It is my attempt to translate a Spanish phrase into English...

I would say "And that future consisted of becoming / being a psychologist."
