    You can also use "dur a cuire" to mean "Coriace". As in: C'est un "dur a cuire". That'd be in English: he's a "tough" guy.

    Note Mind it, the 'a' in the sentence is supposed to have an 'accent grave' on it but I just don't know how to put one using a QWERTY keyboard.
