    Dear forum
I am doing a traslation from spanish into English and I came up with a doubt.
the context is music.
is chorus a choir? can I say This festival will have the participation of the University Choir society, the concert choirs ( or Chorus which word?? and the Santa Maria University Choirs??

At least around here, "orfeón" is mistakenly used for "band", or musical group with brass, percussion, woodwinds but no strings. I think that in the original it's been used to mean "orchestra".
