    Hi LV4-26,

    "Take a risk" could also mean 'prendre un risque', but http://www.thefreedictionary.com/run+a+risk 'take a risk' is shown as a synonym for 'run a risk' - of course, as DDT mentioned, it all depends on the context:

    it can be synonymous but not in the following context: "it runs the risk of ending in failure."
