    Having looked at a thread about 'coyuntura economica' I wonder if the same suggestion applies to the text below:

    varias or­ga­nizaciones sociales exigieron aprovechar la coyuntura ­política del fortalecimiento del gobierno para profundizar la democracia

    'the political situation'? we also have the word 'conjuncture' in English, but I have to say I haven't heard it used as 'political conjuncture'.

    What's a good translation of coyuntura politica?

    Yes, we use coyuntura to refer to a temporary moment, so if you want to be more precise, you can say the present or current political situation.
